thedailywhat:

Everything Old Is New Again of the Day: Bryan Fuller, creator of the critically acclaimed ABC series Pushing Daisies, will reboot classic CBS sitcom The Munsters for NBC.
Universal Television — the show’s original studio — will produce the “imaginative reinvention,” which will reportedly see the Addams Family rival reimagined as a “visually spectacular one-hour drama.”
Fuller’s Munsters was greenlit a mere two weeks after the network received his script.
No premiere date has yet been set.
[deadline.]

… a drama?

the pathos writes itself, exploring themes of normality and the perception of ‘evil’ and ‘otherness’, while at the same time probing the basic family dynamic- marriage, parent-offspring relationships, the failing of the extended family paradigm, and, most importantly in today’s society, dealing with one’s identity and how it fits into modern standards, adjusting self-esteem and worth for social acceptance and mediocrity.
However, if they still dress Eddie up like a quaker-oat-Quileute, I will never stop laughing..
